Safe Water for Health Centre in Madagascar

Safe Water for Health Centre in Madagascar

Ryan's Cookie Box are once again transforming communities from their kitchen in Crossgar!

Last August, Ryan's Cookie Box selected Adsum Foundation as their charity beneficiary. All profits from the sales of their tasty treats during August went to Adsum.

We are delighted to say that the Baker Boy's donation funded the provision of a borehole well at Akondromainty Health Centre in southeast Madagascar, benefiting the whole population of Kalafotsy municipality.

Prior to the installation of the new well, water was fetched from a river which was dirty and contaminated. The same water source was used by villagers to wash themselves, laundry, dishes and for cooking - causing villagers to fall ill.

We are so grateful to Ryan's Cookie Box and their loyal customers for their support. Their donation has significantly improved the infrastructure at Akondromainty Health Centre and the lives of the community.

Mother of three, Souvenirasoa Banahazo (26) speaks of the benefits the clean water brings saying,

"It enables us to accomplish household chores without the fear of getting sick, and it improves healthcare and treatment for patients. Since our village received clean water, less villagers are sick from dirty water."
