Education4Life program launched in Adsum schools

Education4Life program launched in Adsum schools

Part of the Education4Life program is bringing electricity to schools and their community for the first time through solar power

In 2015 Adsum has teamed up with Money for Madagascar to deliver a joint program which aims to improve school attainment in 34 rural Madagascar schools.

Key activities include:

  • Provision of training and resources to inspire teaching and learning.
  • Equipping of students with tools and skills to grow food at school, culminating in the establishment of school canteens.
  •  Health & hygiene training
  • Provision of solar power to facilitate after-school study and to generate income for each school.

Included in the program are 24 Adsum schools built with the help of our supporters and donors. Having provided the infrastructure for learning by building the schools, bringing clean and safe water to each area and putting in place a maintenance schedule for each project, the addition of the Education4Life program is the next step in our goal to improve lives in these communities.
